RISING 16-YEAR-OLD ARTIST PAYDAY UNVEILS “PARTY” VIDEO

P.U.K.E. TAPE VOL. 2 OUT NOW

“…it’s simply impossible to box her into one specific category… the plethora of talents she displays at such a young age throughout this almost nine-minute long, four-song project is truly a spectacle.” —Lyrical Lemonade

Rising 16-year-old artist PAYDAY shares the video for “Party” today—watch it here. The track is from her second EP, P.U.K.E. Tape Vol. 2, out now, with a third EP coming soon.

“A chaotic good time for the family,” PAYDAY says about the video. “It feels like an Adam Sandler movie.”

The “Party” video follows the video for “Lil Green Car,” which was shot and directed by 777Media of AG Club. “Party,” which is featured on Spotify’s Lorem and New Music Friday playlists, and “Lil Green Car,” which has racked up more than 115,000 plays, are both taken from P.U.K.E. Tape Vol. 2, the second installment in a series of mixtapes. The first P.U.K.E. Tape features “Molang,” which has already amassed more than 375,000 Spotify streams, and her debut single and video “Disneyland” that highlights the balance between her “pure, innocent and wholesome” singing voice and her ability to “rap by going off the rails more intricately and impressively than probably anyone her age and even many older artists,” according to Lyrical Lemonade.

The 16-year-old rapper and singer is from all over, having spent time in Louisiana, Texas and Southern California, with most of her formative years spent in Seattle where she still lives.

At 12, hearing that neighborhood friends were making music, she decided she could do it better herself and picked up a computer mic for $14 dollars at Walmart and began pirating beats online with an eye toward favorite artists like Tierra Whack, Tyler, The Creator and Lil Uzi Vert. Before long, she found herself part of a growing community of young artists connecting all over the world via the internet. In 2019, PAYDAY started a mini cult following with her debut single, “Super Thicc,” which has amassed more than 500K streams.
