PETIT BISCUIT PERFORMS AT FRANCE’S VICTOIRES DE LA MUSIQUE

PLAYING COACHELLA, FURTHER NORTH AMERICAN DATES AND FIRST-EVER SHOWS IN ASIA

Petit Biscuit performed a very special version of “Sunset Lover” Friday night at France’s Victoires de la Musique, the country’s highest musical honor. The 18-year-old artist composed a new intro and outro to his massive hit, which he performed alongside a live orchestra. Petit Biscuit closes the performance with a solo piano interpolation of his song “You.” Watch the performance, the fourth most viewed from the awards, here.

Furthermore, Petit Biscuit will play this year’s Coachella as well as select headline dates this spring in Oakland, Miami, Atlanta and beyond. In addition, Petit Biscuit will play his first-ever shows in Asia this summer, with stops confirmed in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.

Petit Biscuit recently debuted the music video for “Problems,” featuring Lido—watch it here. Directed by Tony Datis (Thom Yorke, Katy Perry, Skrillex), the Paris-shot video stars Lido and Petit Biscuit himself, his acting debut.

The new album, which also features single “Waterfall” featuring Panama, has charted worldwide and received extensive acclaim:

“It’s a 14-track collection of smooth, chilled out house perfect for falling in love or nursing introspective moments into brilliance. It’s emotive and cinematically intimate, warmed to the bones with soft string melodies and cozy atmospheres... Expect to see big things from this name in the years to come.” —Billboard

“The universe may be endless but the atmospheric hues and tones of Petit Biscuit’s meandrous music is a genial companion for however far your exploration goes.” —Associated Press

“The French artist makes his debut with this spectacular full-length album that feels like it was born on the dance floor.”—MTV

“We’ve been patiently waiting for break-out French artist Petit Biscuit’s debut album for a while now, and we look forward to it dropping in November for his 18th birthday.”—KCRW

Recorded over the course of the past year, Petit Biscuit—a.k.a. Mehdi Benjelloun—wrote, produced and mixed Presence completely independently, finding time between high school exams and sold out tours across the U.S., Europe and beyond.

A classically trained musician from a young age, Petit Biscuit plays piano, guitar, cello and more, and began experimenting with electronics to form his signature sound at age 11. Presence is heavily informed by his schooling, combining acoustic elements with innovative electronic production and his trademark vocal manipulations.
