JOHN McENTIRE-PRODUCED ALBUM DUE MAY 22 ON FRENCHKISS RECORDS; PART TWO OF ALBUM TRILOGY

SPRING TOUR DATES WITH SUCKERS; HEADLINING SHOW AT CHICAGO’S DOUBLE DOOR

“Young Man is a true American success story of the modern age.”—Rolling Stone

“A promising new voice in indie rock.”—The Boston Globe

Rolling Stone is currently premiering Young Man’s forthcoming record Vol. 1 with a full-album stream at http://bit.ly/KX1qkx. Out May 22 on Frenchkiss Records, Vol. 1 has received early critical praise with Esquire hailing frontman Colin Caulfield as a “dorm-room-pop whiz kid” while Filter notes that “Caulfield continues to showcase some seriously well-crafted shifts between proggy meandering movements and pop hooks.”

Produced by John McEntire (Broken Social Scene, Tortoise, The Sea & Cake) and available for pre-order at http://itunes.apple.com/us/preorder/vol.-1/id517855938, the new record is the second part of an album trilogy begun with 2011’s Ideas of Distance which was hailed by NYLON for its “impressive tracks…[that] have a sort of cinematic quality to them” while My Old Kentucky Blog called the record “full of the gentle lyricism and the lush, spine-shivering atmospherics we’ve come to expect from this one-man wonder.” AOL Spinner went on to note that “it is…evident that this young man is, as the saying goes, wise beyond his years.” Please see below for the complete Vol. 1 track list.

Young Man recently returned from a successful trip to SXSW, including performances at the Frenchkiss Records Showcase and the Hype Machine’s Hype Hotel. After touring throughout the past year with the Cold War Kids, Givers, Fanfarlo, Oberhofer and Grouplove, the band is on the road in May for a run of shows with Suckers before returning to Chicago for a headlining show at the Double Door on June 10; see below for a list of tour dates. The group is fronted by singer-songwriter and producer Colin Caulfield and includes Emmett Conway, Joe Bailey, Jeff Graupner and Darien Williams.
