Joan Baez will return to the stage in March of 2008, presenting an evening of songs culled from her legendary career. Nearly fifty years after her first performances at the legendary Club 47 in Cambridge, MA, Joan Baez will visit Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre on March 28 in a performance to benefit Club Passim, the Harvard Square successor to Club 47. In addition, Ms. Baez will participate in a discussion with longtime Boston Globe music critic, Steve Morse, at Club Passim on March 27 in front of a ticketed audience. The discussion will be filmed for the Club Passim archives.
Baez, who is currently recording a new album produced by Steve Earle, was honored this year by the Recording Academy with a Lifetime Achievement award and was recently featured in an Annie Liebovitz photo feature on the folk explosion in Vanity Fair.
