10 PREMIO LO NUESTRO NOMINATIONS FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

NOMINATED MEXICAN ARTIST, ALSO DOMINATES MÚSICA MEXICANA CATEGORIES
January 13, 2026—Multi-platinum superstar Carín León received 10 nominations today, earning him the distinction as the most-nominated Mexican male artist for the 38th Annual Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, as announced by Univision.
Carín is nominated in the ceremony’s top categories: Premio Lo Nuestro Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “El Amor de Mi Herida,” Album of the Year for Palabra de To's (Seca), Crossover Collaboration of the Year for “Lost in Translation” with Kacey Musgraves, and The Perfect Mix of the Year for his collaboration with Alejandro Sanz, “El Vino de tu Boca.”
The four-time Latin GRAMMY® winner returns to the ceremony as the undisputed leader in Mexican music categories, with nominations in: Mexican Music - Male Artist of the Year, Mexican Music - Song of the Year for “El Amor de Mi Herida,” Mexican Music - Collaboration of the Year for “Si Tú Me Vieras” feat. Maluma, and Mexican Music - Album of the Year for Palabra de To's (Seca).
He also stands out in the Pop/Rock - Song of the Year category for the new version of “Vivir Sin Aire” by Maná, alongside the legendary Mexican group.
The nominations confirm Carín León’s continued impact on Latin music and his dominance as the global ambassador of Música Mexicana, just one year after becoming the second most-awarded artist at Premio Lo Nuestro 2025.
The Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 ceremony will take place on February 19th, broadcast live by Univision from Miami, Florida. Fans can vote at PremioLoNuestro.com.
These nominations bring Carín León’s career total to at least 29 Premio Lo Nuestro nominations. In 2025, the Hermosillo, Sonora native entered the ceremony with a leading 10 nominations and won five awards, including Song of the Year for “Una Vida Pasada” with Camilo.
The Premio Lo Nuestro nominations kick off a historic 2026 for Carín, who will compete for his second consecutive GRAMMY® Award in just weeks in the Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) category for Palabra de To's (Seca). The ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles.
