October 2, 2026—Global superstar Carín León unveils his live album, Live from Japan—listen here. Recorded live on August 13 during his historic Asian debut, the acoustic session is also available on the artist’s official YouTube page—watch here.
Days before his performance at Summer Sonic in Osaka, Carín visited Shitennoji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples, to perform six songs from his catalog in a powerful meeting of Mexican and Japanese cultures.
Directed by Shin Koyamada and co-produced by Socios Music, Shinca Enterprise and Muy Latina Group, the session features live renditions of “Desde Que Te Tengo,” “Doliendo Bastante,” “Huyo,” “Vuelve o Vete” and “En La Misma Cama” from his album MUDA, as well as “Ahí Estabas Tú” from Palabra de To’s. Produced and arranged by Antonio Zepeda, each song was recorded in a single take with a 10-piece band backing Carín.
The session arrives two weeks after Carín confirmed his return to Stagecoach, the world’s largest country music festival. The superstar will head back to the desert in Indio, California, in April 2027, joining a lineup that includes Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson, Matchbox Twenty, Florida Georgia Line, Zach Top, Riley Green and Journey, among others.
The release comes ahead of the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, where Carín is nominated for Album of the Year for MUDA and Record of the Year for “Desde Que Te Tengo.” The ceremony will take place November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Last week, Carín also earned six HEAT Latin Awards nominations, making him one of this year's most-nominated male artists.
The multi-platinum singer is up for Best Regional Mexican Artist, Best Male Artist and Album of the Year for MUDA and earned a double nomination for Best Collaboration: “Vivir sin aire” with Maná and “A medio vivir” with Ricky Martin. Rounding out his nods is Best Song for Video Games, Series or Films for “Ahí estabas tú,” the main theme of TelevisaUnivision’s telenovela Doménica Montero.
Carín is in the final stretch of the “MUDA Tour Norteamérica,” wrapping his final shows in Salt Lake City, Seattle and Portland. The tour will be heading to Mexico in late October.
