Fresh off the heels of her nomination for “Hope of the Year 2022” at the Danish Critical Awards—akin to the highly coveted Best New Artist award—emerging Danish artist eee gee releases her debut album, Winning, on Future Classic. Now based in Brooklyn, the singer-songwriter has released a handful of songs leading up to the album release—“Contraband,” “Bad Person,” “Killing It,” “All or Nothing,” and “Favourite Lover.”

“Title track ‘Winning’ speaks to that come-to-Jesus moment when you accept all your past heartbreaks, failures & stressors and run with them,” Emma Grankvist aka eee gee explains. “The title is as sarcastic as it is triumphant. It’s about the balance between being melancholic, hopeful and self-ironic; an upbeat, anthemic, feel-good song about being miserable.”

eee gee has been regularly charting on Denmark’s DRP3 Radio—their largest national radio station, with her first single “Favourite Lover” being chosen as “pick of the week.” “It’s music for the introvert, who is constantly pushed into the uncomfortable extrovert way of how to view the world,” Grankvist describes.
